Start Menu apps continue to experience a pretty big success these days, despite rumors pointing to a return of the original feature in Windows 9, so programs included in this category continue to receive updates on a regular basis.

8StartButton is one of the apps that are really worth a chance and with today’s update, it should all work even smoother on your Windows 8 or 8.1 device.

8StartButton 2.6.2 is just a service release that includes several optimizations and bug fixes, the developing team behind the project said, but some new improvements on systems with DPI settings higher than the default 96 DPI configuration should also be noticed.

Of course, the feature lineup remains basically unchanged, so you can still download 8StartButton 2.6.2 even if you’ve already made the move to the newly-launched Windows 8.1.
