Microsoft is currently working on lots of new projects, some of which could bring new versions of Windows or even more Surface tablets in the coming years.

A study conducted by Griffin Securities and published by the Wall Street Journal reveals that Microsoft is currently looking to hire more than 2,000 people, most of which are very likely to work on new projects.

While the company is seeking employees for the Xbox division, no engineers are wanted for the phone unit, so Microsoft may not plan a Surface phone after all.

Still, the Bing search engine is very likely to receive plenty of improvements very soon, as 249 job openings are aimed at people with experience in this area of expertise. Only 66 employees will be responsible for the upcoming Office Gemini.
