Acronis rolled out the beta for version 2014 for their data backup and restore suite, True Image Home.

The fresh release integrates new features, such as the possibility to store partition backup images straight into Acronis Cloud.

Restoring a backup from the cloud is also on the list of improvements for this edition. This can be done with the bootable media and includes scenarios such as changing the hard drive or failure of the computer to boot.

Acronis True Image Home 2014 focuses on online storage and, as such, it allows you to perform incremental recoveries from the cloud.

Since this is a beta revision, glitches and mishaps are very likely to occur. The developer is already aware of some issues that relate to specific hardware configurations or to dynamic disks. These will be sorted out as development advances.

You can download the installer for Acronis True Image Home 2014 Beta from Softpedia and, in order to get it working, you have to register as a beta tester and the activation key will be sent to your email address.

In our case, the beta revision expires in mid-September and until then the online storage space is set to 250GB. Softpedia users can get the current stable version (ATIH 2013) of the package with a 40% discount.
