Adblock Plus has just received a new update that brings lots of improvements and new features supposed to enhance the overall experience provided by this popular browser add-on.

According to the official release notes, version 2.3 packs a redesigned first-run page, plus a better localization approach, which means that it should now be even more effective when trying to block ads found while browsing websites online.

In addition, it removes the typo correction feature, while also bringing a workaround for a Firefox mobile bug that blocked users from selecting filter subscription.

Adblock Plus now works on Internet Explorer as well, but no updates have been released on this particular version yet, so the aforementioned improvements are exclusively available on the Firefox flavor.
