Adobe released the stable version for Lightroom 5, which is available as a standalone license or available as part of the Creative Cloud suite.

It can be installed on Windows and Mac platforms and includes all the new features already announced in the beta revision.

These include Smart Previews, which allows editing of images offline based on a smaller copy of the original; any modification is then applied to the full photo once it becomes available to the program.

Advanced Healing Brush has been designed to intelligently remove imperfections such as blotches or threads. It can also replace elements with samples of the background.

Busy backgrounds can now be dimmed down with Radial Filter in order to emphasize the desired area of the image.

Another notable improvement in the application is the introduction of Upright tool; it is designed to automatically level the horizon line and straighten skew angles.

The new Lightroom 5 also brings to the table the ability to share photos through Behance, a social sharing service that has been acquired by the company in December 2012.

The list of repairs for this release includes more than 400 bug fixes since the beta stage of the product.
