If you’re looking for a quick way to open a PDF document from your Modern UI, you may be delighted to hear that Adobe Reader has just landed in the official Windows 8 Store.

Delivered with a freeware license, Adobe Reader for Windows 8 comes with a long list of features that allow you to quickly open PDF documents from local folders, email or the web, but also to search text in a loaded document.

In addition, you can easily tap a link in a PDF to open the webpage, but also share or email documents with minimum effort. The app lets you zoom in on text or images for a closer view or create new bookmarks to jump directly to a specific section of the document.

Adobe Reader for Windows 8 works on all versions of the new Microsoft OS, including x86, x64 and ARM.
