Adobe has rolled out updates for many of its apps today, in an attempt to implement security patches following the recent attacks, and the Windows 8 Reader tool makes no exception to this rule.

A new version of Adobe Reader is waiting to be downloaded from the Store, so make sure you get it on both Windows 8 and Windows RT.

The release notes only point to bug fixes and performance improvements, but the application is also expected to be more secure, as Adobe struggled to fix the recently exploited flaws as soon as possible.

Of course, Adobe Reader continues to boast the same rich feature package that can be used on both Windows 8 and Windows RT devices, such as Microsoft’s own Surface RT, at absolutely no cost.
