Advanced Codecs for Windows 7 and 8 4.2.1 final was released a few minutes ago, providing users with some bug fixes and updates for the built-in components.

Advanced Codecs for Windows 7 and 8 is currently one of the most popular codec packs for Microsoft's operating system, so it's installed on quite a lot of computers out there.

Users are recommended to get the new version as soon as possible, just to make sure they're provided with the best media playback experience.

Version 4.2.1 final comes with LAV filters 58.2, but also with minor application fixes, so bugs spotted in previous builds should no longer exist.

As you could easily figure out by simply reading its name, this codec pack is specifically aimed at Windows 7 and 8 users. Both 32- and 64-bit versions of the OS work just fine.
