We're only a few weeks away from the public launch of Windows 8.1, so Microsoft is now getting ready for the big moment when the OS hits the shelves with several advertisements.

After the company showcased the new Start button at work, it now brings another Windows 8.1 feature in the spotlight, thus trying to emphasize that the OS update was specifically designed to address users' needs.

The built-in SkyDrive support lets users manage their files stored in the cloud without even closing the Modern UI, no matter if we're talking about pictures, videos, documents, or any other type of photos.

“SkyDrive is Microsoft's free online storage service that allows you to always have your files with you across all of your devices. It is built into Windows 8.1, which means that you don't have to worry about getting it set up, and that any pictures or videos you take on your 8.1 device are automatically uploaded to SkyDrive,” Microsoft says.

Windows 8.1 is set to go live on October 18, so expect more such clips as we get closer to the public launch.
