BlueStacks has already released a Windows version of its popular Android App Player, but the company is also looking into ways to port the software to Microsoft’s latest operating system.

After announcing a deal to pre-install the Android app emulator on Lenovo’s Idea line of computers, BlueStacks has also revealed that the Windows 8 version of the product is very likely to be released in just a few weeks.

The Verge writes that the Android App Player for Windows 8 may be released in the last days of January, just after Microsoft officially takes the wraps off Surface Pro.

BlueStacks’ Android App Player is an easy to use software solution that allows consumers to run Android applications on any supported platform, including PCs. The Windows 8 version would obviously be aimed at desktop PCs, laptops, and tablet devices running Windows RT.
