Word is that Microsoft has released another botched update on Patch Tuesday, as some of the users running Windows 7 are having trouble with one of the bulletins.

Posts on Microsoft's Community forums reveal that KB2887069 fails to install and hiding the update until a fix comes out seems to be the only choice.

While some users claim that the update gets stuck during the installation process, others are claiming that Windows 7 is then returning a Blue Screen of Death. In some cases, a number of audio drivers could also be affected.

Microsoft hasn't yet issued a statement on this, but the company is probably aware that one of the updates released on Patch Tuesday might be botched, so expect a workaround anytime soon.

In the meantime, users having problems with the update are recommended to hide it from Windows Update and re-enable it once an official fix is being shipped.
