Ashampoo has released Burning Studio 12, a new major version for their disc burning suite with backup abilities and multimedia authoring.

New in this revision is a fresh interface that has been redesigned in order to offer increased readability and clarity over the functions available. The developer also worked on making the application start faster than ever, making the modules load up almost instantly.

The big news, though, is full support for BDXL discs that can fit 100 and 128GB of data. On the same note, the new disc-spanning feature allows burning virtually any amount of data across any number of discs.

As far as authoring is concerned, Ashampoo Burning Studio 12 permits creating custom themes and menu templates in order to make projects more personal.

Improvements available in this release touch on normalizing audio tracks, the possibility to organize themes into categories or ripping audio discs to FLAC and OGG format. You can the check the entire list of novelties on this page.
