Ashampoo released today a new major version of their PC optimization suite, WinOptimizer. Version 10 of the package brings to the table new modules and improves the performance and functionality of the old ones.
However, the most visible change is the interface redesign that should make overall status of the system and statistics easier to spot. On the same note, the fresh release sports user-definable favorites, which are the most frequently used utilities in the bundle.
The new modules added allow you to locate and remove duplicate files (Duplicate Finder), eliminate invalid application shortcuts (Link Checker), review and eliminate fonts available on the system (Font Manager) and a system restore point manager.
Improvements touch on file wiping procedure, which now can scrub free disk space, quicker drive cleaning and enhanced detection in the registry cleaner. WinOptimizer 10 is now fully compatible with Windows 8 and contains tweaks for this particular operating system.
