UserVoice thread hosts some really unusual requests

Ever since Satya Nadella took over the helm of Microsoft in February this year, the company has been more open to feedback submitted by users, promising to listen to all their suggestions when it starts work on a new product.

And what happens when you give people the chance to tell you how to improve your products? You also get, among many other helpful suggestions, ridiculous requests that do not make sense at all.

This time, for example, more than 1,000 people voted for a feature that would basically bring a dock in Windows. Yes, a dock, and yes, just like the one in Apple’s Mac OS X. Why exactly? Hard to tell, but the one who posted the requests says that this is “the freedom to choose.”

“[We need] a dock that is functional and that includes all the properties and abilities of the task bar, including notification area icons,” he says.

So, let’s see. In Windows 10, we have both a taskbar and a notification center, but that’s not enough. Because, ironically speaking, a dock makes much more sense in Windows.

Leaving the joke aside, those who really want a dock in their Windows OS version, can always have a look at third-party software like this XWindows Dock. There are plenty of apps out there doing this thing and you can be absolutely sure that Microsoft will never implement such an option in Windows 10.
