More and more high-quality apps are arriving in the Windows Store and today it is Autodesk's turn to make the headlines with a tool specifically designed to run in the Modern UI of Windows 8.1.

The so-called AutoCAD 360 is the official AutoCAD mobile app and allows you to view DWG, DWF, and DXF files right in the Metro UI. It works in both online and offline modes and allows you to toggle between model space and paper space, while also providing synchronization features for your AutoCAD 360 account.

The app is currently in preview stage, which means that it's only an early development build of AutoCAD 360, so Autodesk expects users who give it a shot to send feedback and help improve the program before it hits the market in stable form.

“Autodesk AutoCAD 360 is the official AutoCAD mobile app. This is a free Tech Preview for Windows Store. It allows you to view DWG, DWF, and DXF files in both the offline and online mode,” the short description published in the Windows Store reads.

The app comes with support for both desktops and tablets running Windows 8.1 and is offered free of charge to everyone, so go ahead and download AutoCAD 360 right now to see what it can do on Microsoft's modern platform.
