AVAST Software has released updates for all its security products, thus trying to make them work better on Microsoft’s newly-launched Windows 8.1 operating system.

Build number 9.0.2008 comes to fix issues with Metro apps after update to Windows 8.1, as well as occasional problems with playing sounds on the VPS toasters. Last but not least, the update fixes glitches with Output Firewall showing an “unsigned driver” warning.

This new release includes updates for Avast! Internet Security, Avast! Pro Antivirus, and Avast! Free Antivirus, so you can install any of them if you’ve already made the move to Windows 8.1.

Of course, all AVAST’s security products are also working on previous Windows versions, including the aging XP, Vista, 7, and 8. Both 32- and 64-bit OS editions are fully compatible.
