If you’re in the market looking for a freeware anti-virus solution, Avira might be the perfect choice for you, not only because it brings a powerful feature lineup, but also thanks to the fact that it received a new update this morning.

Avira Free Antivirus 14.0.6.552 doesn’t bring much as compared to the previous builds, but it does include improvements for the internal WebGuard module, while also featuring the Avira Launcher that works with all Avira Free Antivirus installations.

As is the case with all the other Avira Free Antivirus versions, this new one comes with support for all Windows builds on the market, including the old XP, even though Microsoft itself has abandoned support for this particular edition.

Avira is one of the security vendors that have promised to continue improving its anti-virus solutions for Windows XP users, so if you’re yet to upgrade, now you know where to look if you’re searching a security product to protect your PC.

Aesthetically, this new build of the anti-virus doesn’t bring any difference, so all changes are made under the hood for improved performance and reliability.

Overall, this update should be really good news for users of freeware security products, so everyone is recommended to download Avira Free Antivirus 14.0.6.552 and update their installations as soon as possible.
