Baidu released a new version for their antivirus product, partly powered by Avira engine and signatures.

This revision of the antivirus does not include new features or functionality as the Chinese developer focused on eliminating various issues affecting the well-running of the application.

Baidu Antivirus 3.4.2.35903 integrates the latest virus signatures and brings to the table optimized detection of AutoRun.inf file in order to increase protection against self-launching malware from USB devices.

The repairs present in this build address an issue that prevented the computer from shutting down after the antivirus ran a full scan. Also removed is a problem with displaying the update log.

Baidu Antivirus has been released at the beginning of March this year, and it is free of charge. The product relies on cloud technology to deliver fast and accurate scan results and to reduce the footprint on system resources.
