Melinda Gates says the family wants to stick to Microsoft

Bill Gates has enough money to buy Apple Watches for his family, Satya's family, your family, and pretty much for all Windows Insiders trying out Windows 10 right now on their computers.

And yet, he's not going to buy any, as the Gates will stick to Microsoft products exclusively and it's easy to see why. Microsoft has its very own smart wristband called Band, its own tablet/laptop, powerful phones, and advanced software that don't really make Apple's products must-haves in the Gates family.

Asked by TMZ whether they plan to purchase the Apple Watch, Melinda, Bill Gates' wife since 1994, said that they were not interested in products developed by competition and they only wanted to use Microsoft products.

The answer is not at all surprising, especially because this isn't the first time when the Gates are expressing their love for Microsoft products.

While Bill previously said that their children needed to stick to Microsoft devices, Melinda also said a few years ago that no Apple laptop “crosses the threshold of our doorstep.” What's more interesting is that Melinda said at that time that she didn't need an iPod because she was using a Zune.

Now that the Zune is no longer around, it would be really interesting to find out if Melinda has reconsidered her options or she's now using a Windows Phone device as an MP3 player as well.
