The Snapshot feature for the Bing search engine was released back in May to show relevant information on a number of keywords right on the results page and thus help Microsoft make the most of the displayed content.

Microsoft has decided to update this particular tool with two new categories, namely people and landmark, and thus increase the amount of helpful details provided to its users through the three-column layout.

“Now when you search for a famous person, celebrity or place, we will present relevant facts about that person in the center part of the screen so you can quickly find what you’re looking for without having to click through to another site or page,” Microsoft explained.

Surprisingly, the feature doesn’t seem to work for all users at this point, but it’s very likely that it will go live all over the world in the next few hours.
