Microsoft has just announced that Bing Translator received several new feature updates, including the speed input support that was already available in the Windows Phone app.

“Now with Bing Translator for Windows, you can speak into your device using it’s microphone to ask for directions or other questions and hear it translated into a native speaker’s language and accent. (Unfortunately this won’t work for Klingon but you can still do text-based translation with Klingon!)” Microsoft explained.

At the same time, the new Bing Translator app allows consumers to use the built-in camera support to translate text in both portrait and landscape modes, which clearly comes in handy for those running the app on a tablet.

Overall, there’s no doubt that this is an update that needs to be installed on all devices, so download Bing Translator for Windows 8.1 right now to find out what’s new.
