In addition to the lack of a Start button, the flat look of Windows 8 was one of the most criticized features of the new operating system, especially because the Aero glass effect has quite a lot of fans on Windows 7.
StarDock is now offering Windows 8 users the chance to bring Aero back on their computers with the help of a beta version of WindowBlinds that also includes a few other themes.
Unfortunately, no free download is available, but users who wish to get this new build of WindowBlinds need to purchase a full subscription to Object Desktop, the app that provides access and updates to all of Stardock’s programs for one year.
Still, in case you wish to customize the Windows interface a little bit, you can always get WindowBlinds 7.4 Build 320, which is available for download from Softpedia using this link.
