If you’re currently looking for apps to tweak the Windows 8 desktop, this is the right time to have a look at ObjectDock, a famous app that now comes with support for the new Microsoft OS.

ObjectDock 2.1 brings an animated dock on the desktop, while also providing users with drag and drop support to quickly manage the apps placed on the Mac OS X-like dock.

What’s more, it packs quite a long list of customizations options, plus support for downloadable skins that could be found online.

“Easily create multi-tab docks and place them on any edge of your display. Tailor your experience with special effects, attractive themes and custom colors,” the app description reads.

In addition to Windows 8, ObjectDock 2.1 also works flawlessly on Windows 7 and older operating systems, be they 32- or 64-bit versions.
