14 DAY TRIAL // Piriform released a new update for CCleaner, their cleaning tool for Windows, to build 4.02.4115. It is a minor revision that improves the cleaning routine for several programs and adds a couple of overall enhancements for the product.
The developer worked on the compatibility with Internet Explorer 10 and improved the History cleaning procedure in the browser as well as removing the cached items and cookies.
On the same note, DOMStore cookie cleaning in Microsoft’s product should be better with CCleaner 4.02.
Purging download history in Firefox has also been improved.
The new CCleaner brings to the table optimized detection of Google Chrome startup items and better drive detection in File Finder component.
This release is capable of handling cleaning for an extended list of programs, as the developer added support for Adobe Fireworks 6.0, Nero 12 Platinum HD Suite, Foxit Reader 6.0, Virtual Clone Drive, PDFCreator and PDF Architect.
Users of the Pro version benefit from an improved System and Browser Monitoring component.
