A new version of the app is now up for grabs

CCleaner continues to be one of the top system optimization software solutions on the market that help you keep your computer in tip-top shape, providing you with quite an impressive feature package that includes options to clean the PC, scan the registry for unnecessary entries, find files, uninstall programs, and wipe drives.

Starting today, CCleaner not only offers a really effective feature pack, but also comes with a new look, as developing company Piriform wanted its app to switch to a modern design approach, just like many other software solutions on the market.

As a result, CCleaner now comes with a Metroish look that reminds of Microsoft's Windows 8 operating system and tries to make the app altogether more appealing to both beginners and professional users.

At first glance, CCleaner 5, which is still in beta development stage, doesn't impress in terms of looks, but it's only a matter of time until everyone gets used to it. There are some refinements that need to be made, but since the app is still in beta, more improvements could be implemented in the upcoming update.

Aside from the new look, CCleaner 5 comes with the exact same features as its predecessor, so there's absolutely nothing new on this front.

On Windows 10, the new version seems to really snappy and everything works really well, despite the fact that both CCleaner and the operating system are still in development stage.
