CCleaner 5.06.5219 is now available for download, and in addition to bug fixes and performance improvements, it also brings support for Microsoft's new Edge browser.

In Windows 10, Microsoft is replacing Internet Explorer as the default browser with Edge, a completely revamped app that integrates a new UI, new features, and a new browsing engine, so adding support for it in CCleaner clearly comes in handy to many users.

According to the official release notes, this new version of CCleaner also comes with improved Firefox session cleaning, Google Chrome download history cleaning, and system restore detection routine.

Microsoft Edge is already up for testing in Windows 10 Insider Preview, so if you're using the early flavor of the operating system and relying on Edge for browsing, CCleaner is really helpful if you feel the app is getting slower.

Needless to say, CCleaner comes with support for all Windows versions currently on the market, starting with the very old Windows XP and ending with the currently under-development Windows 10, with excellent cleaning features available on all of them.

There are many more tools available in this app, including options to clean temporary files, uninstall programs, enable or disable startup items and fix invalid registry items.

All in all, this is a must-have app for all Windows users, so go ahead and download CCleaner right now to see what it's up to.
