CPU-Z 1.60 is now available for download. The current version extends the list of supported components, but the most notable entry in the changelog is that it adds support for Intel’s Ivy Bridge and AMD’s Trinity platforms.

As such, it can now detect Intel Core i3/i5/i7 22 nm "Ivy Bridge" (37xx, 35xx, 34xx, 33xx, 32xx). Other Intel components currently supported by the application include Intel Core i5 2550K, 2450P and 2380P with no GPU and Intel Xeon E3 (SandyBridge-WS).

New AMD processors are also supported, as CPU-Z can now gather information on AMD FX-8140, FX-4150 and Mobile Llano (socket FS1) and adds preliminary support for AMD "Trinity" APU.

Support for the upcoming Windows 8 has already been added in the previous version, back in November 2011, when the operating system was in Developer Preview stage.
