TechSmith released today a fresh update for Camtasia Studio. This is a minor build that incorporates a hefty set of fixes affecting both functionality and stability of the application.

Camtasia Studio 8.1.1 does away with several issues that led to crashing of the program. This sort of behavior would sometimes occur when attempting to export the entire library, other times it would be induced by a memory leak (when the editor was open for longer periods of time).

On the same note, the developer eliminated a crash bug that manifested when trimming a stitched media with audio keyframes and noise removal. Also, in some cases the application would crash at playback when a different program had control over the playback device.

Sometimes moving audio volume points to different positions would also lead to a crash, but the developer announced that this has been fixed in Camtasia Studio 8.1.1.

Stability problems are not the only ones addressed in this revision as the release notes inform of plenty of repairs touching on the functionality of the suite. You can check them out on this page.
