Windows 8.1 comes with significant improvements for some of its built-in apps, making it easier for users to make the most of the Modern UI.

Both the Camera and the Photo apps have received several updates, so you can now use them not only to manage pictures stored locally, but also to edit and apply a series of effects in a very short time.

In order to make sure that everyone is aware of the improvements it made to Windows 8.1’s apps, Microsoft rolled out a video showing both the Camera and the Photo apps in action, as they are set to see daylight on Friday, together with the new operating system.

“With Windows 8.1 comes an exciting set of new and improved apps -- apps that allow you to go from capturing images to making brilliant edits to sharing within a matter of moments. These apps make the images, memories, and creations you care about easy to capture, simple to edit, and seamless to share,” the company noted.
