Windows 8.1 will come with an improved Weather app that will provide adopters of Microsoft's latest operating system with some new options.

First of all, just like all the other pre-installed Metro apps, Weather will also come with support for all new live tile sizes, so it can provide more forecast details right on the Start screen.

In addition, Weather for Windows 8.1 will pack a new intro video to showcase the key features of the app, as well as a dedicated search box to let users quickly look for a specific location around the world.

The search box doesn't work for the time being, but expect it to be up and running in the Preview form of Windows 8.1 that's scheduled to be released on June 26 during the BUILD developer conference.
