The beta channel for Google Chrome has been updated to build 23.0.1271.22. Available for all supported platforms (Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame), the new release addresses various issues affecting the stability of the application.

The fresh beta also deals with a set of bugs relating to Windows 8; the metro switching button now makes the swap between windows of the same profile.

GPU-related modifications are present in this version as well. The development team re-enabled GPU features on OS X 10.7.5 and above, and the GPU watchdog on Windows, in order to find the cause for various GPU hangs. Field trial for enabling Stage3D in XP has been added.

The current beta build for Google Chrome is equipped with a new version of Flash that integrates improvements especially as far as security is concerned (you can find more information on this page).
