The first stable version of Chrome for Android has been released. It runs on Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich or later and can be downloaded from Google Play store.

Based on the desktop version, Chrome for Android follows the same principles of speed and simplicity. Omnibox is still the main component as it caters to both browsing and searching, which offers suggestions as you type. Hardware-acceleration is also available and speeds up going through long pages.

Going through large numbers of tabs has been tailored according to the device Chrome runs on: flip through them on the phone and swipe from edge to edge on a tablet.

Additional features present in Chrome for Android include private browsing, multi-process architecture for increased security as well as tab and bookmark synchronization across all devices, just by signing in with your Google account.
