Classic Shell remains a very popular Start Menu app, even though Windows 8.1 indeed brings back the Start button, so every new version is downloaded by millions of users out there.

A new build was officially released this morning and is supposed to bring fixes for some of the built-in tools, which means that a slight performance increase should be noticed after deploying the update.

Version 4.0.2 includes a quick “fix for the taskbar showing up on top of fullscreen programs under some conditions,” according to the official release notes, so all users are recommended to install it as fast as possible, especially if they experience issues with the app.

Of course, Classic Shell continues to work flawlessly on all Windows versions on the market, including the newly-launched 8.1.
