Classic Shell, one of the most popular Start Menu apps for Windows 8, has received an important update this morning, adding support for Microsoft’s newly-released Windows 8.1 Preview.

As you can see for yourselves in the photo gallery below, Classic Shell completely replaces the built-in Windows 8.1 Preview Start button, thus providing users with a much more familiar UI.

Even though the developers behind the project have been forced to use a different Start orb for their app, Classic Shell still looks great and brings back the utterly-popular Start Menu on Windows 8.1 Preview computers.

An option to keep the default Start button is also included in the package, and so are options to change themes and the way apps are displayed in the Start Menu.
