The newest build for Daemon Tools Lite comes with several modifications, and support for Windows 8 is first on the list, considering that the beta release of Microsoft’s OS is scheduled for late February.

Support for Windows 8 is provided through the update of SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD) to version 1.80.

A redesigned installation wizard is also on the list of new things, and the new release adds Catalan to the list of supported languages.

As far as bug fixing is concerned, Daemon Tools Lite 4.45.2.0287 solves the auto-mount issue with Sidebar Gadget, as well as a set of other minor bugs.

Daemon Tools is designed as an optical media emulation solution for Microsoft Windows.

It comes in several editions; a comparison sheet is available on this page.
