Despicable Me: Minion Rush is currently one of the most downloaded games on Windows 8.1, with an overall five-star score and no less than 26,477 ratings coming from users of either PCs or tablets running Microsoft’s new operating system.

A new update released by Gameloft this morning brings lots of improvements on Windows 8.1 devices, including the new Jelly Lab that itself includes a bunch of novelties.

“Welcome to the amazing Jelly Lab for a brand-new Despicable Me adventure! Gru’s greatest invention will make you enjoy Minion Rush like never before! Prepare for an exciting challenge, as the Minions need you to collect fruit from fun-filled locations to make the tastiest Jelly ever! In this new update, there are two new costumes to help you win more challenges: the Jelly Jar and Lucy disguise!” the official release notes published in the store read.

The new version also includes overall bug fixes and optimizations, so in case you’ve found some bugs in the previous builds, you should really update as soon as possible.

The game remains completely free on Windows 8.1 and works on Windows RT as well, which means that Surface RT and Surface 2 buyers can also play it.

Overall, this new update clearly comes in handy to fans on Windows 8.1, so go ahead and download Despicable Me: Minion Rush right now to see what’s new.
