Doodle Jewels is quickly becoming a top game on Windows 8, even though it recently landed on Microsoft’s new operating system.

The game has just received an update for both the freeware and the paid versions, so Windows 8 users who have already installed it should launch the Store and deploy the new build.

The release notes only point to several “important” improvements and bug fixes, so Doodle Jewels is most likely supposed to run more smoothly on any Windows 8 build out there.

As usual, the game can be played on any Windows 8 version, be it x86, x64 or ARM, but the best experience is obviously provided by a touch-capable device, such as Microsoft’s Surface RT.
