Emsisoft released a new maintenance build (8.1) for Anti-Malware application, a dual-engine security product designed for novices and experienced users alike. The revision integrates improvements for real-time protection as well as for the cleaning routines.

Version 8.1 of the package brings to the table enhanced routines for File Guard and Behavior Blocker (components responsible for real-time monitoring of the system). The modifications should lead to lower resource usage and faster operations.

The new update mechanism relies on delivering incremental and differential updates in order to reduce traffic by up to 95%, according to the developer.

Emsisoft Anti-Malware 8.1 is more aggressive when it comes to detecting and removing PUPs (Potentially Unwanted Programs), such as browser toolbars and buttons.

Furthermore, cleaning the detected threats should be achieved with greater speed and precision, and there is optimized support for screen readers and Braille lines.
