Recently, on January 21, Malwarebytes switched to a new beta for their Anti-Malware product, incrementing the version number to 1.60.1. Well, ten days later, the build has turned into a stable release.

Since it is an intermediary build, the current stable build does not bring to the table any major changes. In fact, it simply fixes a batch of problems persisting in version 1.60, which is the previous stable release.

Issues with ignore list failing to load up after updating the database or crashing of mbamcore.dll because of a malformed ignore list should no longer be available, since they’ve been solved in the beta stage.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware can be used in conjunction with major security products with no problem.

You can choose between a free and a paid edition, the differences between the two consisting in the features they provide. The freebie lacks real-time protection, heuristics or scheduled scanning.
