Redmond-based tech giant Microsoft recently announced the availability of .NET Framework 4.5.2, an improved version of its software that packs ASP.NET enhancements and several other tweaks.

According to a blog post published on MSDN, the new .NET Framework 4.5.2 brings new APIs for ASP.NET apps, so starting with this version, you can rely on new methods that are more reliable and efficient, if we are to trust Microsoft's own words.

“The new HttpResponse.AddOnSendingHeaders and HttpResponseBase.AddOnSendingHeaders methods let you inspect and modify response headers and status code as the response is being flushed to the client app. Consider using these methods instead of the PreSendRequestHeaders and PreSendRequestContent events,” the company said.

At the same time, the new version also comes with options for distributed transactions enhancement, more robust profiling and improved activity tracing support in runtime and framework, according to Redmond's very own changelog published this morning on the MSDN blogs. High DPI improvements are also part of this fresh release.

Microsoft has already released web and offline installers for the new .NET Framework 4.5.2, as well as several language packs and a developer pack. As usual, you can download .NET Framework 4.5.2 right now from Softpedia, while all included changes are available in the official release notes.
