Microsoft releases update to add Retina display support to Office for Mac 2011

Microsoft today announced that its Office for Mac 2011 suite now supports Retina display for all built-in applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

This is obviously a great addition for many Mac OS X users out there, as many complained that the whole Office suite looks blurry on the new Retina MacBook Pro. Outlook for Mac 2011 has already offered Retina display support, so today's announcement is clearly good news for these MacBook owners.

Beside this particular update, Microsoft also confirmed that some other fixes have also been included in the package, with more details provided on the download page.

The software update can be retrieved via the Microsoft AutoUpdate feature bundled into Office, but also manually by clicking on this link.
