A new version of Microsoft’s in-house anti-virus is now available
Microsoft has just released a new version of its in-house anti-virus software that can be deployed on both x64 and x86 Windows computers.Still compatible with Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows XP, Microsoft Security Essentials 22.214.171.124 is available at absolutely no cost, so users can download and use it for free, as long as their Windows copy is activated.
Microsoft is yet to roll out a changelog for the new version, but it most likely brings performance improvements and important bug fixes, so enhanced performance should be noticed on any of the aforementioned Windows contraptions.
This is actually the stable build of the pre-release version rolled out approximately one week ago, so users who downloaded the previous installer are strongly recommended to update to the new one as soon as possible.
