Today, Opera has pushed a new update to the users of the stable branch, namely build 15.0.1147.153. It is a minor release, but it does away with some security flaws and improves overall stability.

Since it relies on Chromium, the security changes actually come from Google. As such, the latest Opera browser packs 11 security patches. Among the most important of them there is a type confusion in V8 engine and origin bypass in frame handling.

Three use-after-free errors are also listed on the page with the most significant fixes. One in DOM, another in MutationObserver, while a third one affected input handling.

Additional repairs have also been implemented as a result of internal auditing and fuzz testing.

Apart from security fixes, the development team did not announce new features of functionality in the browser. Opera users should already have the new build on their system thanks to the auto-update mechanism that functions in the background.
