Microsoft will officially launch the new Skype for Windows 8 on Friday, but in the meantime the company rolled out a new build for the “desktop” version of its operating system.

The new Skype 6.0.0.120 comes not only with Microsoft and Facebook account integration, but also with Windows Live Messenger, Hotmail and Outlook.com support.

This means that you can log in with a Microsoft or a Facebook account and connect with your friends, and even bring all your IM friends right on Skype.

Six more languages are now supported (Thai, Croatian, Slovenian, Serbian, Catalan and Slovak), while the app can now display the previously created profile pictures. And even more features will be released very soon, Microsoft says.

“We're working on polishing a feature which will enable audio and video calls to Windows Live Messenger customers using Skype desktop clients. The feature will be available in coming weeks.” Download Skype 6.0.0.120 for Windows
