Microsoft’s tradition to offer beautiful imagery for Windows’ desktop background not only continues with the 8th reiteration of their operating system, but expands to the lock screen, for which otherwise you would have needed a third-party tool to personalize.
The new set of images destined to refresh the “lock screen” in Windows 8 is available for download from Softpedia, together with the official pack of desktop backgrounds.
There are six backgrounds for the lock screen, and six wallpapers. As expected, quality is one of the best and they’re fit for large screens, coming in 1900x1200 pixels.
As you will surely see, the vivid colors and the stunning landscapes depicted make for great alternatives for your desktop background.
