On June 12th, Microsoft made available for download a new update for Windows Embedded Compact 7 which, in fact, includes a set of updates that were released during the period of May 1 - May 31, 2012.

According to Microsoft, these updates are meant to fix issues that developers might have encountered when building or performing maintenance of their custom platforms.

“To qualify for consideration for an update, a problem needs to cause an excessive amount of work and not have a reasonable workaround,” Microsoft notes.

The new set of updates resolves issues with EXFAT file system corruption, problems with a watchdog timer, security issues, and other problems and errors that might have occurred, including some with access to web server or specific domains.
