avast! 7 stable has been launched about a week ago, but the developer announced yesterday a new build for this version. The latest revision number is 7.0.1412 and it deals with issues detected on the previous build, such as autosandboxing BSODs or UI crashes.

Other problems have also been fixed in this release and the excessive activity of File System Shield should no longer be recorded.

Some users reported problems with the Mail Shield, which would not run or with marking spam messages incorrectly. These issues should no longer be present. System slowdown after installing Avast! was also among the troubles the developer reported as being taken care of.

avast! 7.0.1412 does not work with Windows 8 Consumer Preview, but this should be fixed pretty soon.
