14 DAY TRIAL // Microsoft today launched this month’s Patch Tuesday updates, trying to fix vulnerabilities in several products across its range, including Windows and Internet Explorer.
If you’re not the kind of user who keeps Windows Update turned on all the time but you still want to download and install today’s patches, the October 2013 Security Release ISO Image is the right pack for you.
“This DVD5 ISO image file contains the security updates for Windows released on Windows Update on October 8, 2013. The image does not contain security updates for other Microsoft products,” Microsoft explains.
As a result, the new ISO image comprises updates aimed at basically all Windows versions still supported by Microsoft, including Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1, and RT.
