Today’s Dropbox release may seem like a result of yesterday’s update of the experimental and stable revisions, but it is more about finishing the new menu that has been in the works for some time.

Obviously, some repairs are also available in this release, which also includes support for Brazilian Portuguese.

Dropbox 2.0 introduces a new system tray menu that places less important details in the background and focuses on bringing out relevant information, such as invitations to shared folders, files shared with you as well as the changes that occurred to your Dropbox.

Shared links or files can be easily reached straight from the new menu, which now acts like a notification center.

Details like the total amount of space used, upgrading to a new plan, accessing the configuration panel of the client or pausing the synchronization process are still available, under the gear icon.
