Emsisoft pushed to its Anti-Malware users a new update recently. It is a maintenance build that does away with various bugs affecting functionality and usability of the package.

Revision 8.1.0.33 of the program comes with better processing of data through the behavior blocking rule. Also improved is handling of items that are infected by more than one threat.

Apart from this, the developer informs of a fix for the repeated download of some updates, as well as for the error that caused the “A major problem has prevented the application from starting” message to pop up.

Furthermore, resetting of registry value names under HKEY_USERS is no longer hindered, and the issue with the loading of Surf Protection host list has been eliminated.

A more significant repair touches on the stability of Emsisoft Anti-Malware, which would crash on quarantine rescanning after an online update.
